Ben has been with The Finesse Collection for 10 years joining us as Trainee Manager at Lace Market Hotel in 2001, before taking the role of General Manager's position at The Lion Hotel in Belper and then on to General Manager at Cathedral Quarter Hotel in July 2009. Prior to this Ben started his career with Lee Hotels in Ireland before moving back to England to work for Moathouse.

Best described as: approachable and friendly.

Best part of the day: any time I see that guests are enjoying themselves and having a great time at the hotel.

Couldn't live without: cups of tea, I have a bit of reputation for the volumes I consume in one day!

Favourite way to unwind: is watching rugby.

Best part of my job: I would have to say it is the opportunity to meet so many new people and having the ability to delight my guests.

Best thing about Derby: its central location in the country. It is so easily accessed by train, road and air there aren't many places like it in the UK.
