Tamsin Jackson, General Manager
With two chefs as parents you could say that catering and hospitality is quite literally in Tamsin's blood. After growing up in Cornwall, Tamsin moved to Bristol to study Science, Society and the Media at university where she also started working part time for Marriott Hotels. She embarked on a career at Marriott progressing through seven of their hotels across the UK, from Waitress to Director of Operations. Tamsin joined The Finesse Collection in March 2008 where she took up the position of General Manager at Donington Manor Hotel. Tamsin lives in Castle Donington and now secretly enjoys being known locally as the 'Lady of the Manor'!

Best described as: That smiley lady in a suit. I am extremely positive, a complete perfectionist and I have the memory of an elephant.

Best part of the day: Anytime after I've had my first cup of tea. Mornings are for analysis, afternoons are for planning and evenings are for being creative.

Couldn't live without: My passport, I am always planning my next holiday.

Favourite way to unwind is: Cooking. Chopping, mashing, frying, baking, boiling, seasoning and stirring. Ooh… and a glass of wine.

Best part of my job: The variety of the role and being able to make people happy.

My inspiration is: My mother - academically intelligent, practically wise, amazingly creative and always, always there when people need her help.

Best thing about Castle Donington is: It's an interesting and diverse marketplace, close to everywhere being right in the heart of the country. Castle Donington is a friendly and historic place - and which other pretty leafy village do you know that has its very own international airport and world famous race track?!
