Jessica MacDonald joined the Lace Market Hotel in July 2009 having previously managed two of the hotel's sister properties within The Finesse Collection. After 8 years with a national hotel group Jessica took on the role of General Manager at Donington Manor Hotel in Castle Donington before being appointed as the opening General Manager of Cathedral Quarter Hotel in Derby in April 2008. After a successful year heading up the team at Cathedral Quarter Hotel and helping to establish the hotel as one of the leading East Midlands hotels, Jessica now brings her expertise and experience to Nottingham.

Best described as: a cheerful face, no matter what the situation.

Best part of the day: the evenings - it's when I'm at my best and it is when the hotel really comes alive.

Couldn't live without: my border collie, Tink, she keeps me exercised and is as loyal as they come.

Favourite way to unwind is: good food and good wine.

Best part of my job: is the people I work with.

My inspiration is: all types of people motivate me. It could be the attitude and approach of a member of my team or the achievements of some of the UKs best hoteliers.

Best thing about Nottingham is: the fact it is a dynamic, forward thinking and diverse city. And the Lace Market Hotel, of course!
