Ben Orton General Manager
Ben has been with The Finesse Collection for 8 years joining us as Trainee Manager at Lace Market Hotel in 2001, before taking the role of General Manager at The Lion Hotel in Belper in 2001. Ben also oversees The Lion Hotel's sister property in Derby, Cathedral Quarter Hotel. Prior to this Ben started his career with Lee Hotels in Ireland before moving back to England to work for Moathouse.

Best described as: approachable and friendly.

Best part of the day: any time I see that guests are enjoying themselves and having a great time at the hotel.

Couldn't live without: cups of tea, I have a bit of reputation for the volumes I consume in one day!

Favourite way to unwind: is watching rugby.

Best part of my job: I would have to say it is the opportunity to meet so many new people and having the ability to delight my guests.

Best thing about Belper: is the history of the town and its sense of community. You'll also find it difficult to beat the stunning scenery of the Derbyshire Dales and Peak District which surrounds us.
